Fylde Hockey Club Men’s Coach Job Description
Team Summary:
Fylde HC have 6 Ladies and 2 Men’s teams.
The Men’s section are seeking to increase the number of players and teams over a five year programme. The suitable applicant will be the person who leads by example, is innovative and creative in their approach. The men’s teams are looking to appoint a section Head coach who will work with both teams in training and with the 1st Team on matchdays.
Full details:
Plan and lead Tuesday night performance coaching sessions for both teams.
Coach the 1st Team at all matches organized in a season.
Support the selection process with the 1st & 2nd Team Captains.
Provide 1st Team Squad players with feedback on their performance and selection.
Help identify leading junior players and work with the Junior Club Coach and if appropriate the Men’s Club Captain to manage their development in the 2nd Team Squad.
Coach Specification:
Qualified Level 2 Coaching Qualification.
Current First Aid and Safeguarding & Child Protection.
Current DBS through EH or EH Club. (If appointed this will be checked by the Club Welfare Officer)
Have Coaching Insurance through EH Coach Membership.
Experience of coaching in a variety of team settings.
Support will be given to achieve continuous personal development. Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches and have ambition to work to improve the individuals and team. Demonstrate a commitment to Fylde Hockey Club by becoming a member.
