Fylde Hockey Club Hosts Primary Schools Hockey Festival

Fylde Hockey Club welcomed 85 Year 5 and 6 pupils from eight local primary schools to its Primary Schools Hockey Festival last Tuesday, giving young players the opportunity to develop their skills and enjoy an afternoon of hockey.

The festival introduced pupils to the basics of the game, with the children taking part in skills activities before putting what they had learnt into practice during fun and competitive five-a-side matches. Young Leaders from Carr Hill High School supported the event, which was organised by their PE teacher, Mrs Carroll, and delivered by Fylde Hockey Club’s coaching team. The afternoon provided a great opportunity for pupils to try hockey, build confidence and enjoy being active as part of a team. Many thanks to our club volunteers for giving up their time to support this event.

Fylde Hockey Club welcomes players of all abilities, from beginners taking their first steps into the sport to those looking to develop their skills and play competitively.
