A league break for all teams but there were 2 Cup games at home, the Ladies 4's winning theirs whereas the Ladies 2's just missed out on penalty flicks.

Fylde 2  3-3  Preston 1

An end to end match with Preston taking a 2-1 lead into half-time, only for Fylde to equalise quickly after the break and then take the lead into the final minutes only for Preston to level up yet again.

The cup result was then decided on penalty flicks, for which Preston were better and progress to the next round.

Fylde 4s played in the Lancashire Cup with a well-deserved 1–0 victory over Clitheroe Blackburn Northern 2, in a match that showcased teamwork, discipline, and determination from start to finish.

The game began with a solid defensive structure from Fylde, absorbing early pressure while looking to build play from the back.

Izzie Thompson set the tone early, carrying the ball confidently and creating several attacking opportunities through her driving runs. In the centre, Nikki Richmond controlled the game with her vocal leadership, ensuring shape and communication across the pitch.

Camilla Wyles came close to opening the scoring with a powerful reverse hit from the top of the D that just sailed over the bar, while at the back, Zoe Kirkham stood strong with composed defending and precise clearances.

Fylde’s breakthrough came through a superb team move: a block tackle from Camilla led to Aimee Jennings picking up the loose ball and sending it forward. Camilla continued her run down the line, driving into the D and finishing with a brilliant reverse hit that flew past the keeper’s hands — 1–0 to Fylde.

Isla Carter provided further attacking width, linking play through the middle and out to the wings, keeping Fylde’s momentum high.

Clitheroe Blackburn Northern pressed for an equaliser towards the end of the half, winning a short corner, but it was expertly defended by Evie Dunne, whose block at the top of the D kept Fylde ahead going into the break.

Fylde started the second half full of confidence, keeping possession well and utilising the pass-back option to maintain control. Nikki Richmond continued to be influential, sending a dangerous ball into the D that narrowly missed a final touch but created more chances for Fylde.

Fylde won a short corner of their own, but CBN defended it well. Camilla came close again with a strike from outside the D that rebounded off the post, as Fylde continued to pile on the pressure. Their pressing game was outstanding, repeatedly winning the ball high up the pitch.

CBN earned another short corner late on, but Izzie Thompson was quick to clear, maintaining Fylde’s clean sheet. In the closing stages, Sophia Taylor drove strongly into the D and played a neat pass to Leah Richmond in front of goal, but the effort went just wide.

Despite the late chances, Fylde’s earlier goal proved decisive. The final whistle confirmed a hard-fought 1–0 win — a performance full of teamwork, determination, and high morale throughout.
