Fylde 3XI 5-3 South Lakes 1XI

North Hockey League West Division 3 North

A double header weekend for the Fylde Women's 3rd team began with South Lakes with half time reached at one goal each. Fylde’s goal came by way of the youngest player on the pitch, 14 year old Natasha Hartley-Smith. The 2nd half opened with a flurry of Fylde goals from Megan Coar, Emma Savidge, and Olivia John-Haslam. South Lakes didn't give up and found two goals to keep in touch, but Fylde's 5th from Laura Girvan gave Fylde a deserved 5-3 win.

Fylde 3XI 0-2 Lancaster and Morecambe 1XI

North Hockey League West Division 3 North

Sunday's fixture against Lancaster and Morecambe saw Fylde unable to penetrate a packed Morecambe defence. Long periods of quality Fylde possession with no outcome eventually led to Fylde losing patience and trying to force the game. Possession was turned over and Morecambe scored from a Penalty corner. Fylde continued to force and another Fylde mistake led to a 2nd Morecambe goal. Fylde's young team will have to learn patience to avoid defeats like this in future.

Fylde 5XI 8-0 Garstand 4XI

Lancashire Central Women's Hockey League Division 2

The heavens opened for the final home game of the day on Saturday and the Fylde 5th Team ladies were on the wrong end of a thorough soaking throughout the game! This, however, did not disrupt their demolition of Garstang 4ths with a devastating 8-0 win! This was double the score from the away fixture and the Fylde team dominated the game with a good blend of youth and experience. The Captain chose not to play, deciding instead to coach her side in the foul weather. Charlotte Fuller and Phoebe Caunce scored twice each with other goals shared between Hannah Doyle, Lottie Pickup, Katie Thompson and Katherine Wholey. Fylde saved the best club result of the day to their most promising team who never gave up in the appalling conditions!
