Fylde Juniors Hockey Club had a fantastic day at the North West In2 Hockey Finals on Sunday, with three teams qualifying for the tournament – our Under 10 Girls, Under 12 Girls, and Under 12 Boys. Having all three teams reach this stage was a huge achievement for the club and a testament to the hard work and dedication of players and coaches alike.
Our Under 10 Girls delivered an outstanding performance throughout the day, playing some excellent hockey and showcasing the bright future of Fylde Juniors. They fought their way to the final, where they finished as runners-up after a strong match against eventual winners Bowdon. The team should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the quality they displayed.
The Under 12 Boys also had a brilliant tournament, competing with energy and determination in every game. Their performances were a credit to the team, and coach Steven was extremely proud of the way they played and represented the club.
A special mention goes to our Under 12 Girls, who had a truly memorable day. After a tense semi-final against Bowman, the girls held their nerve to win on penalty shuffles in dramatic fashion. They carried that momentum into the final, where they produced a fantastic performance to defeat Wigton and secure their place as North West champions.
This incredible achievement means the Under 12 Girls will now progress to the National In2 Hockey Finals in London on May 16th. We wish the girls and coach Rebecca the very best of luck as they prepare to represent Fylde on the national stage.
A huge thank you also goes to all the parents, families, and supporters who came along to cheer the teams on throughout the day. Your energy and encouragement made a real difference and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere.
Well done to all players, coaches, and supporters involved – a brilliant day for Fylde Juniors Hockey Club!
