Club appoint new team coaches

Chris Simcock appointed as mens Head Coach and Phil Capper as Ladies 1st XI Head Coach

Ladies 1st Team Head Coach - Phil Capper

We are delighted to announce the appointment for the coming season of Phil Capper as 1st Team Ladies Coach.

Phil comes with considerable experience as a former National league player at Formby, Ist team coach to Formby Men, Head Coach of the EH Performance Centre at Fylde, and Wales and England International Coaching appointments.

With the 1st Team Ladies in the unenviable position of two years at least at this level. This being  due to EH changing the structures of the National League. This will give two years to reach new heights for the club.

Mens Section Head Coach - Chris Simcock

For the upcoming season we will be welcoming Chris Simcock as our men’s first team coach. Chris has experienced playing at a higher level within the north, and was coaching the ladies first team last year.

Having Chris join the men’s section will undoubtedly support the ambition of the club to play the highest level of hockey possible across all teams. Welcome Chris.

Mens Section Outgoing Head Coach - Ste Williams

The management committee would also like to take this opportunity to thank Steve Williams the men’s team head coach for all his support and commitment over the past year. Steve has shown great dedication to the club and has often travelled hundreds of miles so that he can coach the men’s first team, and ‘tried’ to score some wonder goals within the seconds.

Steve’s talent as a coach and experience on the pitch has supported the club to develop its hockey across the all teams. Unfortunately, Steve will be unable to continue with his coaching role at Fylde HC due to other commitment, but we wish him the very best with his endeavours where every this may take him.

Ste's company Perfx Hockey continue to be a large part of Fylde HC and are currently running North West Academies for youth players at Mill Farm on Thursdays during the summer period, we still hope to see Ste and his team around the Fylde coast with Perfx.
