As a community club we have to rely on ourselves to keep things running and in our newsletter in December we highlighted the roles that would be becoming vacant. It's testament to the amazing people in our club that we delighted to announce that we have a new chairman in place. Rick James ( Mens 2XI captain) is stepping in to the chairman's shoes and will be supported by Alex Brandwood ( Mens 1XI player and Club level 2 umpire) in the Vice chairman role, which was vacated by Kath Wholey at the end of last season.
In our next blog we'll be doing a Q&A with both Rick and Alex to give them a chance to share their hopes for the club under their leadership, and to learn a little bit more about what they love about the club and the wonderful game of hockey.
